Tahiti: Immerse Yourself in a Bubble of Blue

Comment célébrer le 150e anniversaire du Canada?

The South Pacific is for so many of us a dream destination…surrounded by warm crystal waters, life takes on a dreamlike quality. Far from the rat race, stress slides off you and you wonder why the world can’t be like this every day.

Which is why you might want to think about a Paul Gauguin cruise to Tahiti and the Society Islands. This is not your average cruise line: there is only one intimate, elegant ship which was designed to sail the azure waters of the South Pacific.

And we have a special Vision escorted departure to Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora and Huahine. Departing November 11 for a week, you’ll enjoy the service and convenience of a Vision Travel manager to take care of all the details (even less stress for you!)
The Paul Gauguin – named for the French painter whose images of these islands embody the lush beauty of the South Pacific – hosts a maximum of just 332 guests and features a guest to staff ratio of 1.5:1, one of the best in the industry. It’s seven decks include elegant cabins (70% of which have a private balcony), three restaurants, a pool with bar, fitness centre, small casino, night club and endless vistas of that beautiful water and the tropical, volcanic islands.

Our Lynda Sinclair, Vision’s Vice-President of Leisure Travel, has experienced a cruise on board the Paul Gauguin and describes it as “Travelling in a bubble of blue. You are so remote, yet so safe and pampered. The food is unbelievable, a combination of tropical and French, thanks to the islands’ historic heritage. Of course, you can spend the whole time relaxing if you want but I found that a lot of the passengers – which included many Canadians – were very active.” The watersports program, she adds, was particularly popular, with passengers getting fitted for their gear (e.g. wetsuits) on the first day, and then keeping the same gear for the week. “The watersports included kayaking, paddleboarding, and I tried snuba – a great opportunity for non-divers like me to experience life under the waves!”

Our departure is priced from US$4,038 per person which includes return airfare from Los Angeles, a Vision cocktail party and a black pearl pendant.
