Passenger Ferry Accident in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland
The MV Blue Puttees ferry strikes a wharf while leaving Port aux Basques in southwestern Newfoundland. No injuries were reported.
The ferry was carrying 398 passengers and 91 crew members en route to North Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Passengers travelling on the ferry are being kept informed of the situation and have been given complimentary food and beverages while the Marine Atlantic investigate the accident.
