Egypt: warning from Ottawa

EGYPT – AVOID NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL
Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada advises against non-essential travel to Egypt due to the unpredictable security situation and continued demonstrations throughout the country. We recommend that Canadians register with the Registration of Canadians Abroad service.

Regional Advisory for the Sinai Peninsula (except coastal resorts)
Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada advises against all travel to the Sinai Peninsula, with the exception of coastal resorts such as Sharm El Sheikh. Consult the Security tab for more information.
