Regional Advisory for the provinces of Sofala and Manica
Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada advises against non-essential travel to the provinces of Sofala and Manica due to recent violent incidents. If you are in these central provinces despite this advisory, be extremely vigilant, avoid all demonstrations and large gatherings, follow the advice of local authorities and monitor local media. There is no nationwide advisory in effect for Mozambique. However, you should exercise a high degree of caution due to violent crime.
