Saskatoon and area: Snowfall warning ended

SASKATOON ? A snowfall warning has ended for Saskatoon and area, but parts of east-central Saskatchewan remain under a warning with 10-15 cm of snow expected in the warned areas before the system moves out of the province.

According to Global Saskatoon weather specialist Kevin Stanfield, around 24 cm of the white stuff was already on the ground by 6 a.m. today.

Travel is currently not recommended on many highways in the Saskatoon area, most highways in the Battlefords and all highways in the Biggar and Kindersley regions.

City crews are currently working on keeping priority 1 streets in the city clear.

There are no school cancellations at public and catholic schools in Saskatoon, but First Student has cancelled the Cosmo wheelchair pickup. All other buses are running but may be delayed due to road conditions.
