FOLLOWING more heavy snow overnight and with forecasts of further snow, Gatwick will remain closed until at least 06h00 on December 3.

There will be no flights arriving or departing today and passengers can expect further disruption, delays and cancellations as long as the severe weather continues. Passengers should not travel to the airport today, those scheduled to fly tomorrow should check with their airline before travelling to the airport.

Meanwhile Edinburgh Airport advised that the airport is currently closed due to heavy snowfall and that it will advise on any changes. Passengers are urged to contact their airline before travelling to the airport.

Extreme weather conditions and flight disruptions have also been issued to and from the UK and Europe.

Due to the weather conditions in the UK and Northern France, Eurostar is also running a revised timetable on December 2.

Eurostar is advising customers to postpone and rearrange their journeys. For those customers who decide not travel, they can either exchange or refund their ticket within 60 days for travel within 90 days through their original point of sale.

A reduced number of services will run from all destinations and can be found on the revised timetable below. Please note the early morning and late evening trains have been cancelled so travellers booked on these should check-in for one of the services below.

Customers wishing to travel are advised to turn up at the station for their original booked train and they will be accommodated on the next available service. Travellers booked on late evening services that have been cancelled, are advised to arrive after 12h00. Eurostar will try to allocate seating on another service as per the revised timetable. Please note however that very limited capacity will be available and therefore if travellers are able to postpone or cancel their journeys they are strongly advised to do so.

Severe snow warnings have also been issued for Scotland and north-east, eastern and south-east and south-west England.
