FCO issues latest advice for Thailand
The Foreign Office advises against all but essential travel to the 25 provinces in Thailand (including Bangkok) identified by the Thai authorities as affected by flooding. The flooding is likely to disrupt transport, may affect some tourist areas (including the Grand Palace and Khao San Road), and may disrupt electricity and water supplies, though the authorities have said they will do all they can to maintain these. Tourists already in Thailand are advised to exercise caution and follow the advice of the local authorities if the area that they are in is flooded. Travel through Suvarnabhumi International airport and on to other destinations in Thailand including Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, and Koh Samui, is operating as normal. The advice against all but essential travel to the city of Bangkok does not include transit through Suvarnabhumi airport.
