EGYPT – Exercise a high degree of caution
There is no nationwide advisory in effect for Egypt. However, you should exercise a high degree of caution due to the unpredictable security situation and continued demonstrations throughout the country. For security reasons, the Embassy of Canada in Cairo will be closed until further notice.
Regional Advisory for the Sinai Peninsula (except coastal resorts)

Regional Advisory for Port Said, Suez and Ismailia
Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada advises against all travel to Port Said, Suez and Ismailia due violent demonstrations and civil unrest that have led to casualties. A state of emergency, including a 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, is in effect in Suez, Port Said and Ismailia until February 27, 2013.
