There were major flight delays at Brisbane Domestic Airport on Wednesday night following a security breach.
A spokeswoman said a breach occurred at the security screening centre managed by Qantas and because it could not be rectified within 10 minutes all passengers from level two at the terminal had been evacuated.
At 7.50pm she said operations at the airport were returning to normal with all passengers being re-screened.
But flight delays were continuing late on Wednesday night.
The incident happened about 5.10pm on Wednesday.
