The Chilko Experience is a ten-hour drive from Vancouver via the beautiful Fraser Canyon. Flights on private and commercial planes are also available. The resort offers six custom build luxury log homes, perfect for families. They offer a range of outdoor activities with options for all ages! Their season runs from the end of May to Mid- October for three to seven-night stays.
Adventures
ATV Riding – With six 420 CC powered ATVs you will explore the area via backwoods trails. Something for the adrenaline seeker. Dirty clothes and tremendous fun guaranteed.
Fishing – Fishing here will spoil you for life. You don’t have to be an experienced fisherman to catch a 70cm Bull Trout in the Chilko Lake. Staff will take you to the perfect fishing spots and make sure you have a fishing day you will not forget. They will provide you with all necessary fishing gear for spin fishing, so the only thing you have to bring is good mood and your camera.
Hiking – From short trails to explore the lower pine forest, to middle long trails getting you around the area including the Chilko Lake, Lingfield Creek and Chilko River, up to the mountain tops with stunning views and pumping heart rates, there is a hike for everyone at any time.
Horseback Riding – No matter if you have never been on a horse before or if you are seeking the ultimate advanced wrangler experience, Chilko horseback riding guides have the suitable trail and horse for you.
Kayaking and Canoeing – Kayaking or canoeing on the crystal clear Chilko Lake, looking at its perfect reflections in the glassy water is an experience you won’t forget. Chilko Staff will show you the meaning of the sound of silence while paddling over the Chilko River and Chilko Lake.
Bear Watching – Chilko Valley offers some of the best bear viewing in all of North America. Viewing is done by boat with skilled guides.
