Getting your home ready Pre-Travel Checklist
Empty the trash and recycling
Clean out the fridge of perishables
Refill your prescriptions
Make arrangements for your pets/plants
Arrange for a neighbour to collect your mail if you still have home delivery and remove any fliers
Leave a key with a trusted friend or relative.
Unplug electronics – even sleeping they use electricity!
Set the thermostat
Other Pre-Travel Considerations
Take photos of your passport and store them securely. Most of us travel with a smartphone or tablet these days, making it a great place to keep a copy. Just remember to use the security features on your phone.
Ensure you have all your itinerary details, including a printed copy in case of electronic failure.
Print a copy of your Travel Insurance and leave a copy with someone at home.
Last Minute Packing Items
