Friday, Nov 27: Flights between Australia and Bali have again been disrupted as ash from an erupting volcano continues to affect travel to and from the Indonesian island.
Jetstar went ahead with two scheduled flights from Perth to Bali on Friday afternoon.
Virgin Australia cancelled all flights for the day after having to direct three flights back to Australia mid-air on their way to Bali.
A Virgin spokesperson said the company would make a decision about future flights tomorrow morning, after consulting the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre.
The safety of our guests and crew is our highest priority,” the company said.
Perth Airport said passengers travelling to Bali should check with their airline for updates.
It is the third time in recent months that volcanic ash from Mt Rinjani has affected flights to and from Australia. Read more:
