Based on an Indian Intelligence Bureau report, the Hyderabad City Police have issued a terror alert for the city of Hyderabad beginning this evening, 31 December 2013, and likely concluding on Republic Day, 26 January 2014. Police officials warn that the terror alert should not be taken lightly as terror operatives are reportedly targeting large groups of people at public places and on roads. Extra vigilance over the next several weeks is strongly advised.
