Molokai Island – on Dec 12 a Cessna Grand Caravan operated by Makani Kai Air crashed in the waters off Kalaupapa, while on-route to Honolulu. Makani Kai Air is a private company that provides passenger transit between Honolulu and nearby islands as well as chartered tour flights. 1 person dead, 8 people survived the crash
