GUINEA – AVOID NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL
Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada advises against non-essential travel to Guinea. The current security situation remains volatile due to the political, social and economic tensions in the country. Clashes between young demonstrators and law enforcement authorities have been frequent, especially in Conakry, where incidents of violent crimes are on the rise. If you are in Guinea despite this warning, exercise extreme caution.
