Costa Rica: Travel Reminder (Passports, Departure Tax)

THOMAS Cook Canada issued the following notice for travel agents with clients travelling to Costa Rica:

“It has come to our attention that there is some confusion among some of our customers as to the entry and exit requirements when travelling to and from Costa Rica.

“When you have a client who is booking a trip to this destination we ask for your assistance in conveying the following pertinent information in order to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted travel experience:

? Canadians intending to visit Costa Rica require a valid Canadian passport and the passport must be valid for at least 90 days from the date of arrival in Costa Rica.
?Passengers are responsible for payment of a local departure tax of US$28 per person upon leaving Costa Rica. Please note this amount can change without notice.
