Tropical storm Banyan is forecast to strike Vietnam at about 12:00 GMT on 17 October.Data supplied by theUS Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Centersuggest that the point of landfallwill benear17.3 N,108.0 E.Banyan is expected to bring 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around64 km/h (40 mph).Wind gusts in the area maybeconsiderably higher.
