Next typhoon on its way
ACCUWEATHER.COM meteorologists are forecasting that tropical depression 08W, which formed over the open western Pacific Ocean Monday, will track westward to become a potentially serious typhoon later in the week. This strengthening weather system will pass well north of Guam at midweek, then over northern Philippines Sea south of mainland Japan Friday and Saturday. Okinawa, southern Japan, southern Korea and ultimately eastern China could feel adverse effects of this tropical cyclone.
