(e-travel advisories) WestJet reports that road closures around Cancun International airport will be in effect to Dec. 10 as delegates arrive and depart for the United National Climate Change Conference. WestJet and WestJet Vacations clients will notice an increased police and military presence in and around the airport area. Also, a road detour has been put in place which will add approximately an hour of travel time to the airport. Vacationers should consider this delay as they plan their departure to the airport. Those travelling with WestJet Vacations will receive more information on this delay from a destination representative upon check in/check out at their hotel.
