Floods and landslides caused by tropical storm Banyan have hit the central and southern Philippines, killing five people.
The former cyclone Banyan weakened after it hit land in the Philippine province of Leyte and caused new floods in the central region.
Its peak winds reached 55 kilometres an hour.
Heavy rains continue to fall over large parts of the country, adding to the misery of thousands of people in the north whose homes remain submerged weeks after the onslaught of two previous cyclones.
Hundreds of families have also been forced by flooding to evacuate 15 provinces.
Banyan has brought floods to the southern provinces of Agusan and Misamis.
The cyclone was expected to spare the already devastated northern region.
