Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada advises against all travel to the Central African Republic (CAR) due to the unstable security situation throughout the country.
Rebel forces entered the capital, Bangui, on March 24, 2013. While a curfew is in effect, constitutional order has not been restored. The situation remains unpredictable and could deteriorate rapidly. If you are in Bangui, remain indoors and take the necessary precautions to stay safe. Consult the Security tab for more information.
