Major French unions will hold a national strike on Thursday, November 16, to denounce President Emmanuel Macron’s “liberal” policies.
Both rail and air transportation services are expected to be affected. French air traffic controllers, Air France personnel, and workers at the SNCF (the national rail company) are all expected to take part.
Due to the air traffic controller strike – taking place from 19:00 on November 15 until 06:00 on November 17 (local time) – the national civil aviation authority has advised airlines to reduce their flight operations. Similarly, train delays and cancelations are to be anticipated throughout the day although details of the impact of the strike will only be released 24 to 48 hours prior.
From Eurocontrol: Reminder: French ATC strike starts tomorrow evening (Nov 15) but main impact is expected on Thursday. No flight reduction program but check with your airline.
