Manila: Flights cancelled-Tropical Depression Odette

A number of flights were grounded on Thursday due to the bad weather caused by Tropical Depression Odette.

The Manila International Airport Authority said flights of carriers Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines Express canceled some of their flights to and from Tuguegarao.

At 10 a.m., the state weather bureau estimated the eye of Odette 540 km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gusts of up to 65 kph.

PAGASA said the tropical depression may intensify into a tropical storm before making landfall over Cagayan province on Thursday evening.
