Thailand: more explosions

Multiple explosions in Thailand from the evening of Thursday, 11 August until the morning of Friday, 12 August. Incidents have been reported in multiple locations around southern Thailand. Local media are reporting at least 3 fatalities and more than 30 injured.

 

HUA HIN

Thursday, 10:15pm – Two explosions outside a neighbourhood bar.

Friday, 9:10am – Two explosions near the Hua Hin clock tower. Officiers destroyed a third bomb found nearby Wat Hua Hin.

 

SURAT THANI

Friday, 8:00am – Two explosions occurred near the main police station.

 

PHUKET

Friday, 8:00am – Patong reported one explosion in front of a police booth, one explosion in front of Loma Park, and one explosion in front of Coconut Village hotel.

 

PHANG NGA

Friday, 9:15am – One bomb exploded in Ban Nang Niang village in Khuek Khak and two bombs went off in Khao Lak.

 

TRANG

Thursday, 3:00pm – A bomb exploded at Centre Point market.

 

CHUMPHON

Friday, 8:00am – A bomb exploded near the governor’s residence in Muang district.
