Air Europa pilots call off four-day strike
A last minute deal was struck on Tuesday night which led to pilots’ union Sepla calling off a four-day strike planned for one of the busiest holiday weekends.
The Spanish airline had been forced to cancel 114 flights during the strike period – 38 internal and 76 international flights – and had offered affected passengers a full refund or option to change to another flight before November 30th.
The company announced that the strike had been called off after a meeting with pilots’ union reps on Tuesday evening.
