Huge evacuation in central London after chemical incident—an “ammonia leak from a fridge in an office block”
City workers were evacuated after a ‘chemical incident’ near London’s busy Liverpool Street.
People had to flee their desks while firefighters attended the scene in the capital’s financial district, on London Wall in Moorgate just before 3pm.
A 100m stretch of the road between Old Broad Street and Moorgate was cordoned off by police, but the incident has now been declared over.
