SAS strike hits Helsinki and Vaasa flights
A number of flights between Sweden and Finland have been cancelled due to a strike on some SAS services that began at 8 AM Finnish time on Monday.
As of early morning, SAS flights between Stockholm’s Arlanda and Helsinki, as well as Arlanda and Vaasa had been cancelled.
According to the Swedish airport operator Swedavia, flights between Stockholm and Turku are not affected.
SAS flights inside Sweden between Arlanda and Kalmar and Visby have also been cancelled.
The strike follows a breakdown of negotiations between pilots, cabin crew and a recruitment agency that provides some flight personnel.
