The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a blizzard warning for the following counties: Nance, Howard, Merrick, Polk, Buffalo, Hall, Hamilton, York, Adams, Clay and Fillmore. The warning remains in effect until Tuesday night at midnight. Wind gusts up to 45 mph combined with snow accumulation between 10 to 13 inches will cause whiteout conditions at times.
Snow is expected to begin late this afternoon and continue through Tuesday. Snow accumulations from six to 10 inches are expected overnight with an additional two to four falling Tuesday.
