India: transport unions call for 24-hr strike on April 30

 Normal life is likely to be hit by a nation-wide transport strike on Thursday, April 30. Buses, autos, taxis will not be available anywhere. People, who are planning to travel via public transport, are advised to make a plan B as all bus, taxi, auto unions across the country confirmed that they will observe the bandh protesting against Road Transport and Safety Bill 2014.

 

While it will be a 24-hour bandh in New Delhi and in other metro cities, auto unions in Bengaluru informed that they will observe the bandh from 6 am to 6 pm.
