MInneapolis: snow

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -Winter has made its triumphant return to Minneapolis-St. Paul as our first Winter Storm Warning of the season went into effect overnight Sunday through noon on Tuesday. The Twin Cities metro could see 5 to 11 inches of snow as Monday blows in chilly, windy and white. The key is to try to not get fixated on forecast snow totals — just know that travel will likely be difficult.

Snow timeline

Monday morning commute: HIGH Impact (Snow underway, heavy at times… slushy sloppy mess, a couple inches of accumulation)

Monday evening commute: HIGH impact (Snowy, sloppy, & slushy roads with 3 to 7 inches of accumulation by evening)

Tuesday morning commute: MOD – HIGH impact likely (Snow has tapered east but plenty still left on the road.
