Amtrak: service suspended between Philly and DC

Amtrak officials said Acela Express and Northeast Regional services have been suspended between Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., because of a catenary pole and downed wires along the northeast corridor.

Amtrak said earlier Tuesday morning that the suspension was lifted, with limited service running on the lines, but they later rescinded that update and said the trains were still suspended.

Meanwhile, MARC trains from the Perryville and Aberdeen stations have also been suspended temporarily. Commuters are urged to use Edgewood and Martins Airport stations, where trains will operate on their normal schedules.

The MTA said MARC trains 511, 415 and 517 are all running several minutes late, while Train 610 has been cancelled.
