Arend & Darlene’s Excellent Adventure to Italy and the Dalmation Coast – Day 4

We arrived at the island of Korcula, Croatia, early this morning.

Korcula has been inhabited since 400BC and has Roman influences. In more recent times it was part of the Venetian empire. It is a beautiful walled city with many back alleys. We stopped at a restaurant to enjoy some local delicacies.

There is also a promenade along the water with numerous restaurants and bars. Then we headed back to the ship for a sumptuous lunch. The afternoon was spent at Mljet National Park. Scenic, but the tour was a bit of a yawn.

We had dinner for eight tonight joined by the English couple, a Californian doctor and his wife, an Australian now living in Switzerland and another lady from Sonoma. Had to sit beside someone other than your partner. Dinner was very engaging.
