Today is a favorite of mine….an “At Sea Day” as we transit the Kiel Canal in Northern Germany. I think of it as a short cut, taking us from the North Sea to the Baltic Sea, it cuts about 500km’s off the journey. The canal is very narrow. Along both sides for the 98km folks are waving, boat horns are honking and everyone seems to be having fun on our sail through.
I have connected with each of the Virtuoso guests on board to offer a warm welcome from their individual travel advisors and ensure all is just as they expected. As we spent the day on deck, we have met a few of the Virtuoso guests as the day progressed. It is 7pm with a temparture of 25 and the sun is bright in the sky. Our dinner reservations with Mr and Mrs Hart tonight, Virtuoso guests from Toronto, will be a lovely meal out on deck.
